Valves Technology
Everybody claims their technology is the best. We would however believe some and dispel some of the myths to keep the technology development dynamic. That not withstanding, we take great pleasure & pride in bringing this very simple and yet unique technology to users such as you and trust that the following essay shall find your attention.
Valve technology
Matching sleeves are placed in the Energo valve housing to seal against the gate when the valve is closed and seal against each other when it's is open. As the gate moves from open to closed position, it separates the facing sleeves. Since the sleeves are made of non-compressible elastomers - like any solid, all elastomers are non-compressible - they must flow out of the way as the gate slides between them. Compression holes are molded into the sleeves to provide space for the displaced volume of the elastomer to flow into.

Due to the elastomers mentioned above, there is no recess provided in the valve bodies and hence there is no gland packing to account for the recess. Absence of the gland packing overcomes the primary source of leakage from other design of knife gate valves. Ours is thus a packing-less valve which is typically designed to asct as seat and at the same time serve as a gland packing.

The other technological features help us to get the following advantages:
> 100 % isolation – bubble tight shut-off results in absolutely zero leakage.
> Double seated design provides bi-directional shut-off, permits flow in either direction.
> No stem packing eliminates packing leakage and maintenance.
> No seat cavity where solids can collect and prevent full gate closure.
> No metal parts (Valve body, Slide plate) in contact with the flow.
> Slide gate / Elastomer sleeves are easily replaceable.
> Long wear life in higher cyclic operations (4 to 5 times the conventional valves)
